The Effect of Goal Visualization on Goal Pursuit.

My sister is only $490 away from her fundraising goal of $4,000 for Bike and Build!

And today I learned that ‘as people approach a goal, external representations, which increase the ease of visualizing the goal, enhance goal pursuit’  Visualizing a goal, especially when you are close to the goal, helps increase motivation! (Cheema 2011)

And I can tell! Becka is 87% complete with a HUGE goal and I think this little status bar being so close has definitely contributed to her stream of facebook/blog posts being more and more excited for her trip and raising more and more money through various avenues (including riding her bike in front of a grocery store in the rain!)

Want to help her reach her goal? Visit BeckaBikes.com or click on the status bar to donate now!
